Adoption -- Rules
1. Please, please follow the rules! It's just common sense. If you break them, I will, unfortunately, have to keel you. It wouldn't hurt you in the least to read all the information too -- if your questions for me are plainly answered on the site, I will twitch. Do us both a favor and do your homework.
2. It's awful that I actually have to say this, but these dragons are by me. They are not for you to use for commercial purpose. You may not say that you drew them. You may not re-adopt them out to other people. In short, the dragons, while I let you host them on your page, are drawn by and are the property of me, Amaryllis Estyre. You steal them or do any of the things aforementioned, and you are banned. It's that simple.
3. You must have an e-mail for me to send you your dragon's next stage. If you don't have an e-mail, try Hotmail. It's what I used before I got my domain, and I really never had trouble with it.
4. You must have a website for your dragon. If you don't already have a site, Geocities is a great free provider, despite the stupid ads. Make sure your site is free of anything you would be embarrassed to let your mother see. And please, no Neopets sites. Please. If there's any question, send me the site and I'll check it over. I'm pretty liberal when it comes to content, but, in the end, I'll be the judge as to whether or not your site is appropriate.
5. You must have a link back to Veniam Mactare [http://vm.projectnos.net/] somewhere on the site where your dragon is displayed. That way, if someone sees your dragon and wants one like it, they'll know where to go. [ If you have a link to /Paradise, that's okay, but a link to VM is better. ]
6. Try to update by the given deadlines. I'll be understanding if you can't, but...try.
7. Please be respectful to both myself and all the other dragon owners. If I get proof of your being rude or unnessecarily nasty, I will poke you and tell you to knock it off. Second time, and you're banned. Please don't make me do that! The words 'black list' on a menu just look ugly....
8. When naming your dragon ... well, it's a fuzzy issue. I definitely will not accept common names like Missy or Joe -- they're dragons, for heaven's sake! Nouns that are man-made things [Brick, Computer, and Airplane, for example] are also out, though names like Willow or River aren't as bad. If you aren't sure, ask me.
9. On your dragon's webpage, you need to have a stat page where your dragon is being housed. It should include things like Name, ID number, Gender, Age, Color, Eye Color, Horn Color, Magical Alignment, a link back here, etc. Pretty much everything I give you as to information should go there, just for your reference and mine.
