Adoption -- How It Works
So, have you read through all the information? Do you still want to adopt your own Syon dragon from /Paradise? Well, there are a few more things you need to understand before you do that.
When there is a clutch open (it'll say so on the main page) make sure you have read the basic information thoroughly and with great care. Then, you will need to prepare a website that will house your Syon.
Though I will consider all entries, I would love to see a decent amount of effort put into your site. The more effort, the better chance you have at getting a cool dragon. :3 The website doesn't have to be anything ridiculously elaborate, but I want to see some /content/. And not just 'this is a pond, and it is where my dragon Fluffy Fuzzbutt will live.' A story (not a novel, nessecarily, just a story) would be best, with lots of description about the surroundings and good character development, but just a description of the scenery would suffice.
You will then send me, Amsy, the form found on the 'Available' page when there is a clutch. I will set a date when I stop accepting entries, and I will then go over all the ones I have received and select those who get eggs. I hate that part, but, always remember, if at first you don't succeed, try again! If I don't select you, I will be happy to explain why, as long as you don't scream at me or be rude; that will probably get you banned from adopting, because I really don't want to deal with that. You can always apply again next clutch, anyway.
Those who do get eggs need to put the egg up on their page and tell me that they have. I will probably ask you to update your page in a week or more; that's a reasonable time for an egg, I think. XD If you have an excuse as to why it will take you longer, I will understand, I promise. I've been in the same predicament. Don't be afraid to tell me.
When I receive an e-mail from you saying that your page is updated with your egg, I will draw for you the hatchling stage of your dragon. This should only take me less than a week, and, if I am suffering any major delays, I will notify you via e-mail.
The same thing happens when you get your hatchling. I will draw everyone's hatchlings as they e-mail me with their updates, and I will set a date (probably in about two weeks) when you need to have your pages updated. Again, if you will have any unexpected delays, tell me. I swear, I don't bite. <3 The same thing happens with your adult, though I'll probably give you a bit more time, since the adult has more capacity to interact with any others in your story.
When all the hatchlings are ready for their Ceremony of Declaration, it will be hosted on the VM forum. I can't write it all by myself, seeing as it is your dragon's job to announce his or her magical affiliation, so there will be a bit of roleplaying involved. Don't worry if you're new to that kind of thing. You can ask all the questions you need to, and you won't have to go first, so you can see how it's done.
