Information -- Breeding
First rule of thumb: if you value your remaining sanity, try not to think about it too hard.
Yes, Syons do reproduce, as bothersome as the thought can be for their caretakers. Two Syons may choose to mate for life, but it is not required. Pairings are usually between a male and female, but same-sex pairings are accepted in Syon society. After all, as long as there's love there.... But that's a whole other thing that we're not going to get into.
The best way to decide if your Syons are made for each other is to roleplay on the Veniam Mactare message board. This works best if the two Syons in question have different owners, so you don't have to do the whole thing by e-mail. However, you don't want to toss your dragon out and have him or her shout 'OK [blank] COME BE MY MATE.' You should ask the owner of the other dragon via e-mail if they're interested, out of simple politeness. They're allowed to turn you down, obviously, and they'll tell you why. Avoid rudeness if at all possible. We want to keep this fun.
If two of your dragons would like to bond, you could roleplay with yourself, or just write the thing into your story. Please ... please try to keep it clean. For my sake. These dragons are like my children, and I don't want to know about it. Any of it.
Once your dragons have decided that they 'click,' they may apply to have a clutch adopted out. [Yes, even same-sex pairings. Don't think about it too hard!] I will make sure they aren't too closely related [unless you want demented inbreeding...] and, if everything is okay, I will reply and tell you how far down they are on the waiting list. In order to make things easier on everyone, you need only send me the form below. My e-mail is paradise[at]dracogrex[dot]net. Replace the [at] and [dot] with @ and a period. ^^

Comments:
A pair of dragons can have as many clutches as they wish, but you should try to space it out, just to give others a chance. While they still have children that are hatchlings, they cannot have another clutch.
When the clutch is offered up for adoption, the owner of each dragon gets one egg by default. If you own both dragons, you may decide if you want one egg or two. The rest of the eggs go out to other adopters in the normal way. A Syon clutch generally has 3 to 8 eggs in it, but clutches of up to 12 have been seen.
